Ig Jakovac grew up in Canada (Toronto) and earned a PhD in Chemistry
from the University of Toronto in 1980. He was offered a job by a
Philadelphia based company and moved into the area that same year.

He was introduced to barbershop singing by a neighbor and joined the Bucks County chapter
in 1981. He became instantly hooked on our unique style of singing and has been involved in
both chorus and quartet singing ever since.
Ig is the vocal coach for the North Pennsmen Barbershop chorus (who won the Atlantic Division
contest in 2008 and 2009) and his wife, Anne Bureau, is the director of that chorus. Shortly
after joining the DelChordians, Ig led the group to winning a 1st place trophy in the Level A
Chorus competition as well as a 2nd trophy as the "Most Improved Chorus" in the Atlantic
Division .
He is a certified Singing Judge and is a sought after coach and teacher. He has coached top
international level quartets and choruses and is an active Top Gun instructor as well as vocal
instructor at other BHS and Harmony Inc. events. Anne is a certified Music Judge and he and
Anne often team up to coach various groups both in BHS and in Harmony Inc.
Ig is very proud to be part of the DelChordian Barbershop Quartet and Chorus singers. He is
very excited about being a part of a chapter that is motivated and committed to entertaining
their audiences at higher and higher levels. Ig returned to his Lansdale Chapter in March of
2010 to focus on winning the district championships.

Phil is a native resident of Broomall,
PA. and is the glue that holds The
DelChordians together. Phil has been
the Assistant Director for many years.
And now he takes on the challange of

Harry Co-Directs The DelChordians
along with Phil and has been a
musician all his life. Harry expertly
"tickles the Ivory Keys" of a piano to
everyone's delight and has his own
televised spot in the Marris Grove
community. Harry, together with Phil
keep the DelChordians on their toes.

Dave also Co-Directs The DelChordians in his
spare time. A truly gifted musician, Dave has an
uncanny ability to recognize musical pitches and
tones like no other.
Dave is also the Bass singer in the quartet called
"Raging Tunes."
